Vision Statement
It is our goal and desire to provide a program in which through the efforts and dedication of volunteers a process occurs enriching both the lives of the volunteers and more importantly the members of the community. Thus reducing the social differences amongst the world’s peoples and ultimately having a tangible positive impact on the lives of the underprivileged within the favelas and communities of Rio de Janeiro.
Mission Statement
Our mission and purpose is to make possible an opportunity for individuals that desire to make a difference in the favelas and communities of Rio De Janeiro to come to the city in a volunteer capacity, and apply their professional, educational, and life experiences in various projects; thus enriching the lives of those within the favelas and communities of Rio De Janeiro. Project Favela is an organization that does not subscribe or align itself with one religion or political view. We simply believe that all human beings are entitled to equality, health, and happiness and the opportunity to achieve their dreams and reach their potential. We also believe that when one human being is denied these rights and opportunities the human race as a whole suffers.
